Two Week Anniversary

I seriously cannot believe that yesterday marked the two week anniversary of my arrival to Santander and today, the two week anniversary of the first day of class.  I think of what a tired, confused person I was when I first arrived, and it makes me laugh to see how far I've really come adjusting to a new life in Spain.

So far, I am having a really positive experience studying abroad.  I love my Spanish home and my classes are pretty good.  I've had the opportunity to get to know some really nice people on the trip too!  Speaking Spanish has become more natural, but I still think that I have a long way to go in that area.  When listening to native speakers, I feel that my abilities to understand them has improved incredibly.  I've learned so many new vocabulary words and expressions as well.

I'm sorry that it took me so long to write a post this week.  I caught a cold from someone (most of our group is sick), but it seems to have affected me the worst.  I'm congested, have a runny nose, and sound funny when I talk.  It was actually kind of hard for my madre to understand me today because I couldn't pronounce very well.  I've been pretty tired, so I've been neglecting my blog.  I'll try to post some short blogs this week though!
